Because of the nature of this challenge being slightly different than most, here is a more detailed breakdown of the type of claims.
For all songs, please make a title icon, as well as one band icon.
FULL SONG/VERSE OR CHORUS RULES
In order to do a full song claim, you must use at least 90% of the words so that when you read the icons in the table, it's more or less like reading the lyrics to the song. (Approximate percentage, but we'll be able to tell you did it wrong if every other word is missing :P) This means you cannot edit the lyrics, though tense changes and word form changes are allowed.
Example: Is to was, 'cause to because
You may use any amount of words per icon, but again, they must be in order so that when read out it forms the song. You may also double-up a word if you so choose.
Example: "let me take you", in one icon, "take you down," in the next
You only need to do the chorus/repeating sections ONCE. It is up to you whether you double post them so that the song reads out.
You have 100 days to complete this claim from the day you are approved.
Chorus or Verse Claims follow the same rules, except instead of using the entire song, you use the chorus, a verse of your choosing, just the bridge, or any consecutive section(s).
Ex: Verse one
Ex: Verse one and chorus
Ex: Verse one and verse three
Ex: Verse one and chorus if skipping second verse, or verse one and verse two if skipping chorus
You have 30 days to complete a claim of a single verse or chorus, 50 days for two consecutive sections.
These rules would leave your claim looking something like this: (underlined word represents an icon)
STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER - THE BEATLES
let me take you down because I'm going to Strawberry Fields nothing was real
As you can see, the closer you can stick to the original lyrics, the better the completed product is going to be.
50 icons, manipulating the lyrics however you would like. Unlike in the other challenges, you can add or take away words as much as you want, as long as some original lyrics remain.
Example: "About a girl" could become "it's always about a girl."
For this claim, please list or label your claims with the lyric you are manipulating in the alt-tags for the icons or any other way you prefer, as long as we know what lyrics are associated with which image.
Please comment with any questions/concerns/suggestions.
